About the event
Over 10,500 military engagements occurred during the Civil War. They weren’t all on the scale of Gettysburg or Antietam. Skirmishes were fought by units as small as a portion of a company and as large as brigades and divisions.
Join us on September 26th & 27th at Barrett Hill farm in Mason, New Hampshire, for a taste of those small company actions that occurred up and down the lines formed by Union and Confederate Corps picketing and defending the Rapidan River during the second half of September 1863.
You can explore Union and Confederate Infantry, Artillery, Cavalry, and Civilian camps. Interact with military and civilian living historians, see demonstrations, and visit sutlers and craftsmen, all in a beautiful New England Fall setting. See a battle on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
